The following items were taken from Highland Park police department and Lake County court clerk reports, news releases and records. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY TO A PEACE OFFICER

Ashley R. Collins, 35, of the 5400 block of West Ferdinand Street in Chicago, was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer, resisting a peace officer, driving under the influence of alcohol making an unsafe U-turn and improper backing April 14. She was arrested after police responded to a driving complaint and located both Collins and the vehicle near the intersection of Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road. She is scheduled to appear in Lake County court May 31 in Waukegan.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY STRANGLING

Brando A. Cisneros Bautista, 24, of the 35600 block of Franklin Avenue in Volo, was charged with felony domestic battery, felony aggregated domestic battery and felony aggravated battery involving strangling April 14. He was arrested on a warrant issued in Lake County after the investigation of an incident in the 1700 block of Green Bay Road in Highland Park. He was transported to bond court.

DUI

Jaime Membreno, 38, of the 1700 block of North Long Avenue in Chicago, was charged with felony driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license, illegal transportation of alcohol and improper lane usage April 16. After police stopped him near the intersection of Half Day and Skokie Valley roads, they determined he was under the influence of alcohol. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court May 26 in Waukegan.

Vanya Gantsetseg, 42, of the 3900 block of Newport Way in Arlington Heights, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and improper lane usage April 16. She was arrested after police responded to a crash near the intersection of Green Bay and County Line roads in which she was involved. She was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court May 26 in Waukegan.

Juan Jose Ramon Lopez-Medelin, 43, of the 2800 block of 31st Street in Zion, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with an invalid license, illegal transportation of alcohol and operating a vehicle with an expired registration April 20. He was arrested after police responded to a well-being check near the intersection of Park Avenue West and Skokie Valley Road and found him to be under the influence of alcohol. He was released on bond and is scheduled to appear in Lake County Court May 19 in Waukegan.

VEHICLE THEFT

Someone stole a Mercedes-Benz parked in front of a residence in the 1400 block of St. Tropez Court April 5. It is not known if the vehicle was locked.
