The annual Memorial Day Parade rolled through River Forest Monday, paying tribute to active duty and veteran men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The parade started Monday morning at the corner of Augusta Street and Ashland Avenue and traveled south on Ashland. It ended at Keystone Park where a ceremony was held that included the reading of the Memorial Day Honor Roll. The parade was followed by a free hotdog lunch.

The River Forest Park District, Kiwanis Club of River Forest and Oak Park, and the village hosted the parade, ceremony and picnic.
