Outdoor Alliance contributes to Christmas meals fund
The Naperville Outdoor Alliance and the Nagle Family Fund of the DuPage Foundation have donated $500 towards the Naperville Park District and YMCA’s Christmas meals program.
Every year, the park district and YMCA, with help from community donations and volunteers, provide about 450 Christmas meals for seniors and families in need.
Meals will be delivered Saturday, Dec. 23, to those who registered to receive one. They are being provided for free to senior citizens and families in need thanks to community donors.
The Naperville Outdoor Alliance, a nonprofit organization, helps area residents improve physical and mental health through outdoor experiences and recreation. The group, which tries to make outdoor recreation more accessible to the community, also provides funds for individuals who cannot afford to sign up for park district programs.
