Four suspects in an armed robbery near Kemper Park in Carpentersville have been arrested, according to the Carpentersville Police Department.

Anthony Ritt, 18, and David Guzman, 19, of Carpentersville, and 20-year-old Gabriel Guzman, of Arlington Heights, face multiple charges in connection with the July 17 incident, the most serious of which is armed robbery, a class X felony, Deputy Police Chief Kevin Stankowitz said in a news release.

A male juvenile was also charged with armed robbery and aggravated robbery.

All four were taken into custody when police executed an arrest warrant July 24 at a home on Robin Road. Gabriel Guzman allegedly tried to flee, discarding a gun along the way, but was captured after a brief chase with the help of a K-9 officer, the release said.

No information on what the crime entailed, how many victims were involved, what was taken or how police connected the incident to the suspects was released.
