A 44-year-old man was fatally wounded while he was sitting inside a vehicle Friday morning in the South Deering neighborhood, Chicago police said.
Around 10:50 a.m., the victim was sitting in a vehicle in the 1600 block of East 95th Street when someone approached and fired multiple shots in his direction, police said.
The man was struck multiple times to the body and was taken to UChicago Medicine, where he was pronounced dead. His identity wasn’t immediately released. The gunman fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.
Detectives were investigating.
