Parents sit in tiny chairs in their children’s classroom to listen to the teacher talk during a parent orientation at Naper School held in September 1998. Classrooms may look a little different these days but the practice of parents meeting periodically with teachers to learn about what their kids do everyday in the classroom remains unchanged.
