Portage Township Schools is enrolling children ages 3 to 5 for its preschool program for the 2026-27 school year.
The district’s preschool, at Jones Elementary School, combines hands-on learning with play-based exploration.
“Our preschool program is about creating opportunities for every child to learn, grow and belong,” Superintendent Amanda Alaniz said in a release. “We are proud to provide an inclusive environment where students develop foundational skills while building positive relationships and a love for learning.”
The preschool program includes half-day and full-day options, either three or five days a week. The curriculum is based on academic and social readiness for kindergarten and development of early reading, math, communication and social skills.
