Interim Chicago police Superintendent Fred Waller ordered the closure of a bar in Lincoln Park yesterday following a deadly shooting nearby over the weekend, according to the area’s alderman.
Around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, two men got into an argument with the victim, a 30-year-old man, in the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue, before they took handguns out and shot him multiple times in the head and body. He was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center soon afterward, police said.
