Homero Sotero-Ocampo, 41, of the 300 block of Shady Lane, was charged with indecent solicitation of a minor following the Thursday incident, police said.
Davis was sentenced Thursday by Lake County Judge Christopher Lombardo, who imposed a 42-year sentence for murder plus a 25-year enhancement for the use of a firearm.
The verdict was read at about 7:30 p.m., about five hours after attorneys finished more than three hours of closing arguments in a rare weekend session.
The jury heard lawyers describe a fatal confrontation, with prosecutors saying the defendants attacked and killed Ascadridis, and defense attorneys contending that Ascaridis was the aggressor.
