Baskin-Robbins is always having contests, a good public relations move. This one is worth mentioning for its timeliness. Called the Cup of Cheer Ice Cream Drink Contest, it sought creative recipes for the holidays from customers in the Midwest.

The winners of $200 worth of ice cream were Scott Caswick of Orland Park with Jingle Fruit Splash, and Cheryl Jenkins of Peoria for Peach Melba Cooler. Caswick`s recipe combined orange and pineapple juice, amaretto and rainbow sherbet.Jenkins` was a non-alcoholic mix of 1 cup each sliced peaches and milk, 2 drops almond extract, 1/4 cup honey and 1 scoop peach melba ice cream.
