The truth is stranger. Christopher Guest, best known as Tap`s lead guitarist and Jamie Lee Curtis` husband, someday will inherit the title of baron-and a seat in Britain`s House of Lords-from his father, Peter Haden-Guest, 78.
True, Chris` older half-brother, ubiquitous celebrity journalist Anthony Haden-Guest, would have had first dibs on the lordship if it weren`t for one small problem: Haden-Guest says he was born ”while my mother was still married to her previous husband,” and the throne doesn`t recognize heirs with such pedigrees.
So will brother Christopher have to legislate while touring with the band? Not unless Tap has an extended comeback, says Haden-Guest: ”There`s no earthly reason that this is imminent. My father is as strong as a horse.”
