Mundelein trustees have approved the promotions of Robert Haley to the post of village water superintendent, and William Schuler to the position of assistant water superintendent.

Haley replaces Tom Chmura, who retired last October after serving as superintendent for 32 years.

Haley has 14 years’ experience in public works and has been employed by the village for the past five years.

He received his supervisory management certification from the University of Wisconsin in 1995.

Schuler grew up in Mundelein and has been employed by the village for the past 14 of his 22 years in public works.

Schuler received his supervisory management certification from the University of Wisconsin. The promotions were approved Monday.
