Lydia M. Schroeder, 91, died at her Long Lake home Tuesday. Mrs. Schroeder was a homemaker and had worked in the circulation department of her family’s publishing business, Lakeland Newspapers. She established a print journalism scholarship at the College of Lake County in memory of her husband, Marshall, who founded Lakeland Newspapers in Lake County. Mrs. Schroeder is survived by two sons, William and Robert; and one brother. Services were last week.
