Burglars reportedly broke into two cars Jan. 5 in a parking lot in the 3800 block of Clearview Court in Gurnee. A stereo amplifier reportedly valued at $300 was stolen from a 1989 Nissan pickup truck, police said. A tape deck, cellular telephone and radar detector with a total reported value of $600 were stolen from a 1993 Ford pickup truck, police said. Both vehicles were unlocked, police said.
