Mayor Thomas F. Menzel, who serves as Rolling Meadows’ liquor commissioner, will conduct a public hearing Saturday to decide whether to revoke or suspend the liquor licenses of Dominick’s Finer Foods, 2855 Kirchoff Rd., and Southland Liquor Store, 2202 Algonquin Rd., after employees were allegedly caught selling alcohol to a minor.
If found guilty, the stores also could be fined. Both store managers were charged April 25 with selling alcohol to someone younger than 21. As part of an Illinois State Police operation, a minor tried to buy alcohol at 20 places, four in Rolling Meadows, four in Des Plaines and 12 in Palatine.
