Robin Linn of Buffalo Grove has been named the new assistant principal of Deer Path Junior High School, Lake Forest School District 67 officials announced this week.

Linn replaces Kyle Schumacher, who is serving as interim principal at Lake Forest Intermediate School during the district’s reconfiguration to handle growing enrollment. The plan involves vacating the intermediate school and adding classrooms at the Deer Path elementary/junior high complex and at three elementary schools.

Linn, 26, received her bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and her master’s degree in school administration from Harvard University, officials said.

She was a kindergarten teacher at the Northwest Suburban Jewish Community Center in Buffalo Grove, a 4th grade teacher at Hyde Park School in Waukegan and a 6th grade teacher at Briargate Elementary School in Cary, officials said.

Linn recently completed her administrative internships in Massachusetts.
