Nearly $20 in change stolen from a fountain at St. James Hospital in Chicago Heights was recovered Sunday after three juvenile males were charged with shoplifting, police said. Police said the youths, two age 15 and one age 14, had been taken to the police station after being picked up for stealing two men’s shirts at the Carson, Pirie, Scott & Co. department store in Lincoln Mall. Police said the youths had a bag of corroded and stained coins believed to have been taken from the fountain.
