Two Chicago residents were charged Saturday with theft and attempted obstruction of justice after they were accused of stealing a woman’s wallet from her purse, police said. One person blocked the 45-year-old Tinley Park woman from leaving Cub Foods, 16000 S. Harlem Ave., while the other bumped into her from behind as a distraction to slip her wallet out of her purse, police said. Paul Poulet, 41, of the 1000 block of North Oakley Avenue, and Mattie Wallace, 34, of the 6300 block of South Champlain Avenue, are scheduled to appear in court July 27.
