An Oak Park man was arrested recently after allegedly using a hammer to threaten an African-American woman during a quarrel in the 2100 block of West 22nd Street. Daniel F. Elliott, 58, of the 300 block of South Maple Street was charged with a felony hate crime, aggravated assault, resisting arrest and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, police said.
