General Motors wants to increase consumer interest in its factory-certified used-car program.

“Our research shows 9 percent greater loyalty among buyers who are happy with a certified used GM vehicle,” said Bill Lovejoy, group vice president of sales and marketing for GM.

And what does 9 percent greater loyalty mean?

That normally 41 percent of those who buy a used GM car will favor a GM car when buying new. But that loyalty rate rises to 50 percent of used-car buyers sticking with the GM when purchasing new when happy with a certified used GM car, Lovejoy said.
