Although investigators have concluded there is no evidence that anyone set the fire Thursday that raged through the Addison headquarters of U.S. Rep. Henry Hyde (R-Ill.) and damaged the neighboring offices of two DuPage County state legislators, the cause of the blaze remains undetermined.
Investigators with the DuPage County Fire Investigation Team, a specialized consortium of county, state and federal agencies, reached its preliminary finding after an on-site investigation Friday, according to Addison Fire Protection District Capt. Norm Sturm.
“There’s absolutely nothing that really points to any foul play,” he said.
