That the Connecticut Supreme Court ruled a fetus is a body part is the most preposterous ruling yet (“Fetal homicide bills spur abortion debate,” Page 1, May 9).

It considered a fetus to be “like hair and skin” that is shed.

Forensic experts use hair and cells to identify the perpetrator of a crime, noting the unique DNA pattern, and a fetus has completely different DNA from the mother.

The fetus may also often have a different blood type.

Could the all-wise, all-knowing judges please explain to me how my body part (now in 1st grade) has A type blood and mine is O?
