I want to thank you for publishing the works of Barbara Mahany over the last several years.
I first became acquainted with Barbara when she wrote the society column. Every party, and the people who attended it, were appealing in their own way because of her perspective.
Since then I’ve enjoyed the variety of human-interest articles she has written in the leisure sections of the Tribune.
I frequently find myself reading the headline of an article, looking at a related picture and enjoying the story.
On occasion, I will stop halfway through the article to say to myself, “This is really good. Who wrote this article?”
Often as not, Ms. Mahany is the author/reporter.
I treasures her stories and, through her, the people, events and places in them.
