A Chicago man was stabbed to death in his Northwest Side home Wednesday in an attack police believe was started by a domestic dispute.
George Baggett, 62, of the 1600 block of North Mobile Avenue was found stabbed several times and unresponsive by police about 11:30 a.m., authorities said. He died shortly after, police spokesman Hector Alfaro said.
Police are questioning a suspect in custody but no charges had been filed Wednesday night, Alfaro said.
In an unrelated homicide, a Chicago man was gunned down on the Southwest Side while driving a car with three passengers, Alfaro said.
Omarr DeJohnette, 22, of the 7300 block of South Honore Street was found dead at the scene, authorities said.
An unidentified 24-year-old man was also shot in the incident that occurred in the 7100 block of South Hermitage Avenue and was listed in good condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, Alfaro said.
Witnesses told police the shooting began after DeJohnette got into a dispute with a hooded man on the street, Alfaro said.
The suspect pulled out a handgun and fired at the car, killing DeJohnette and injuring a passenger, Alfaro said.
DeJohnette tried to drive away but crashed into a building in the 1700 block of West 71st Street, Alfaro said.
The suspect escaped traveling south.
Police have no one in custody.
