Dorothy “Cookie” Kelly Carlisle, age 88, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, died on Feb. 23, 2005 at Holy Cross Hospital. She was born to Arch B. and Ethel Anderson Kelly in Chicago. Cookie was predeceased by her husband, Howard W. Carlisle. She is survived by her five children, Thomas H. Carlisle of Denver, CO, Anne C. Noonan (Walter) of Greenwich, CT, Lynn M. Carlisle of Aiken, SC, Mary C. Peloquin (Robert Jr.) of Fort Lauderdale, FL and Kathryn C. LeDonne (Jeffrey) of Fort Collins, CO. She had 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Dorothy was a volunteer for the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the Lyric Opera. She served on the boards of Ft. Lauderdale Philharmonic Society, the Opera Society, Friends of the Museum of Art, PACERS, International Swimming Hall of Fame Dames, Oral School and Henderson Mental Health. She was a member of St. Pius X Church and Women’s Club, the Hillsboro Inlet Sailing Club and Lago Mar Beach Club. She and her husband were members of the Oak Brook Hounds, IL, Camargo Hunt, OH, Fox River Valley Hunt, IL, Congress Lake C.C. OH, Barrington Hills C.C. IL and Pine Lake C.C. MI. A native of Chicago, she also resided at Chagrin Falls, OH, Hartville, OH, Barrington Hills, IL, Cincinnati, OH and Fort Lauderdale, FL since 1971. The family will receive friends in the funeral home, Sunday, Feb. 27 from 3 to 6 p.m., with a Wake Service at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Feb. 28 at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 2511 North Ocean Boulevard, Ft.
