Harvey Axel Nelson, age 83, of Marengo, IL, Navy Veteran WWII, died peacefully in his home, Friday morning, April 27, 2007. He was born December 30, 1923 in Chicago, IL to Axel and Aina Nelson. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Gloria, nee McGuire; his sister, Aileen Leith; his sons, Steven (Arlette) and Forrest (Ellen); his daughter, Amy (Mike) Reiken; his grandchildren, Danielle (Jeff), Stephanie (Gus), Ryan, Doug, Gabrielle, Keith and Nathan; and life-long friend, Harold. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 5 at the Marengo United Methodist Church, 119 E. Washington, Marengo, IL. The Rev.
