Terrance Grant Niemiec, 56 years old, born September 5, 1950, died April 26, 2007. The newest and brightest star in the Heavens is our beloved Terry. He left us to pursue his dreams of riding comets and walking with God. His most sincere wish was to converse with God and learn the secrets of the Universe. He loved animals large and small. Often talking to the birds and watching spiders weave their webs. His love of nature inspired his passion for beautiful works of art from oriental carpets and original oil paintings to fine porcelain and jewelry. He excelled in fine art and antique brokering and appraising. Everything he touched he improved, made more beautiful and was eagar to share. His generous spirit was unequaled. He loved to help others and throughout his life gave to others with no expectations of return. Just the smile on each face was his reward. He was a wonderful loving father who went to great lengths to teach his children to interact with nature through water skiing, snow skiing, boating, hiking and camping. An extremely compassionate man, he was moved to tears by the plights of others and when speaking of Christ’s beauty and love. His children are Timothy Niemiee, Jason Niemiee of Chicago, Bo Moore of Desert Hot Springs and Sandia Moore of Las Vegas. Raised in Chicago he co-owned the Vic Theatre until its sale in 2004. In 1976 he relocated to Maui, Hawaii where his love for the ocean was born. Although he left Hawaii to raise his children in San Diego eventually relocating to Newport Beach and most recently to LaQuinta, he often returned to Hawaii to replenish and renew physically and spiritually. Whether walking the beaches of Hawaii or star gazing, his brilliant blue eyes and stunning smile reflected the beauty of his heart and the connection he felt for God and all God’s creations. Filled with good humor, his friends recall the hilarious phone messages he often left them and the fun he brought into their lives. He always laughed hardest at jokes on himself. He resonated with laughter and personality. His circle of friends spanned all age groups, social circles and occupations. Everyone that met Terry loved spending time with him and will never forget the impact he made on their lives. He leaves behind a legacy of love and sense of adventure. Sally Anderson “La Quinta” was his best friend and the love of his life. For fifteen years they traveled this country and the world as best friends and devoted lovers. Those who love him will look for his star in each heavenly body and hold the memory of his unselfish and devoted love close to their heart always. Terry, you will never be forgotten, never replaced and always loved. Until we meet again in the perfect world where you now reside. We love you always.
