Harriet C. “Huseby” Dennis, 87, died at home in Des Plaines due to complications from a massive stroke. She was a member of the Board of Directors of Northwest Commerece Bank for 12 years, an election judge, a member of the Transportation Communications Union for over 60 years, and a lifetime member of the Evangelical Covenant Church. She is survived by her son Jeffrey L.; her brother Sherman H. (Doris) Durell; nephew Gregory (Susan) Durell; niece Kay Furell, two great-nephews; two great-nieces as well as many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband C. L.”Les” Dennis, former International President of the Brotherhood of Railway Airline Clerks. Viewing will be Sunday, 2 to 9 p.m. at Cooney Funeral Home,625 Busse Highway, Park Ridge, IL, with funeral services on Monday, at 11 a.m. Burial is at Elmwood Cemetery.
