A Yorkville man died Monday after crashing his Harley-Davidson motorcycle into a culvert in the far western suburbs, authorities said.
Keith A. Carlson, 48, of the 1000 block of Game Farm Road was found about 6 a.m. on Fabyan Parkway, east of Kaneville Road, in Geneva Township, said Kane County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Lt. Pat Gengler.
Carlson was westbound when he crossed the oncoming lane of traffic, went into a ditch, struck a culvert, became airborne and landed west of the culvert.
Geneva Fire Department personnel pronounced Carlson dead at the scene.
Because there were no witnesses, investigators are unsure what time the accident happened or its cause, Gengler said.
