* In Maureen Ryan’s Watcher column about the TV show “Burn Notice” in Thursday’s preprinted Tempo section, an actor was referred to by an incorrect last name. Bruce Campbell plays a supporting role on the show.
* A Metro section item Tuesday gave an incorrect address for the victim of a hit-and-run accident. Andrew Tyler, 24, lived in the 6600 block of South Oakley Avenue.
* In a What’s Your Problem? column June 24 on Page 1 of the Metro section, the state attorney general’s office said restaurants that close are not required to refund the cost of previously purchased gift cards. A spokeswoman for the office said that information was incorrect, and that gift card holders do have a legal right to receive a refund.
* In the May 23 edition of Good Eating, a recipe for Carolina “red” pulled pork shoulder called for 1 teaspoon chili pepper; the correct ingredient is 1 teaspoon chili powder.
The Tribune regrets the errors.
* A June 12 story about Sen. Barack Obama’s endorsements of Illinois politicians was unclear in quoting a source who described those endorsements as expedient backing of local politicians. James Shapiro said his remarks were referring to Todd Stroger and Dorothy Tillman but not to Alexi Giannoulias. Shapiro’s letter to the editor appears on today’s Editorial page.
