This 1953 acknowledged classic stars Marilyn Monroe and Jane Russell as two showgirls who travel to Paris in search of rich husbands. Monroe’s now-iconic rendition of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” is a highlight. Elliott Reid, Tommy Noonan, Charles Coburn and George Winslow also star. A sequel, “Gentlemen Marry Brunettes,” starring Jeanne Crain, did not experience the same success.
