A Lockport woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident involving a semitrailer truck loaded with gravel, police said.
Two passenger vehicles and the truck crashed at about 2:30 p.m. at Division Street and Gauger Road in Lockport, according to the Lockport Police Department.
Lockport police, the Will County Sheriff’s Department and Illinois State Police are investigating the collision.
A reconstruction of the crash could take more than a week, said Pat Barry, spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department. No charges have been filed, he said.
The victim, 50, whose identity was not released Wednesday pending notification of family, was driving a custom van, according to the Will County coroner’s office.
