Peter G. Brown, age 87, Veteran WWII US Army Air Force.
Mr. Brown was Chairman of the Board and guiding force of Mickey’s Linen.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Helen, nee Vlahos; loving father of Gregory (Maria), Cynthia (Peter Colovos), Nicholas (Jill) and Christopher (Debbie) Brown; proud grandfather of Peter, Nicholas G., Michael, Matthew and Nicholas A. Brown, Tiana, Amara and Dimitra Colovos; dear brother of Helen Brown, Jean Samos and the late Sophie Brown; fond uncle of Gail (Robert) Johnson and great-uncle of Ashley Johnson.
Mr. Brown served in active duty in the South Pacific and was a member of the American Legion, Hellenic Lodge #1084, AF & AM, Order of AHEPA, Medinah Country Club and a Shriner for over 50 years.
Visitation Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. atSmith-Corcoran Funeral Home, 6150 N. Cicero Ave. Family and friends will meet Friday morning at SS. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 1401 Wagner Rd. (at Lake Ave.), Glenview, IL 60025, for Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Entombment Elmwood Cemetery Mausoleum.
