24, former Chicago Police Captain (33 years) and Chief of Police for Morton Grove Park District, dear husband of the late Mary Catherine, nee Burns; loving dad and best friend to Dan, Patricia Ann (Stan) Nixon, Mary Catherine (Marty) Jahnel and the late Michael J. (Ligia); fond grandfather of Michelle, Angela, Geoffrey, Miguel and Cali; dear great-grandfather of two; special uncle of Mary Ann and Terry Lanigan, Joan, Betty, Judy and Mary McGonigle and Larry Schreiner.
His Memorial Service will be Tuesday, Sept.
25, 1 p.m. at the Oak Crest Retirement Center, 2944 Greenwood Acres Dr., DeKalb, IL, 60115.
