Beatrice E. Parkin,nee Watland, 96, of Elmhurst.
Beloved wife of the late Oswald Maurice Parkin; loving mother of Sylvia (William) Mullen and Leona (James) Rusch; proud grandmother of Theodore (Jana) Esser, Christine (Donald) Kucera, Tamara (Christian) Bognetti, Heather (Timothy) Duda, Eric Mullen and the late Laura Esser; great-grandmother of seven, soon to be eight; dear sister of the late Florence, Wilbur, Helen, Leona and John.
She taught school for 20 years including teaching fifth grade at Lincoln School in Elmhurst.
Long-time member of P.E.O. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept.
29, 2007 at the Episcopal Church of our Savior, 116 E. Church St., Elmhurst, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the International Peace Scholarships in memory of Beatrice Parkin, c/o P.E.O. Executive Office, 3700 Grand Ave, Des Moines, IA 50312.
