Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Tribune sports media reporter Ed Sherman picks five games worth your viewing time this weekend:

1. Bears at Oakland, Sunday, 3:15 p.m., WFLD-Ch. 32: The West Coast start means the Chicago area will miss the game of the day: Dallas at the Giants. Matt Vasgersian and J.C. Pearson have the call.

2. Detroit at Blackhawks, Sunday, 6 p.m., Comcast SportsNet: The network will pull out all the stops for the first home telecast of the season, using 12 high-definition cameras, a Hawks player wearing a wireless microphone and live reports from Josh Mora on the benches.

3. Illinois at Ohio State, Saturday, 2:30 p.m., WLS-Ch. 7; The Illini almost beat the Buckeyes last year in Champaign. It will be a much tougher task in Columbus.

4. Minnesota at Green Bay, Sunday, noon, WFLD-Ch. 32: See Adrian Peterson run. Watch Brett Favre pass. Should be an interesting game.

5. Air Force at Notre Dame, Saturday, 1:30 p.m., WMAQ-Ch. 5: Ah, to be 1-8 and still be on national television. Bet NBC wishes it could “flex” off this game.
