Sen. Hillary Clinton has suffered no end of ridicule for her campaign-trail descriptions of a fiery arrival in Bosnia as first lady several years ago.
She has spoken of ‘”landing under sniper fire… We just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles.” But after videotape of that landing surfaced showing a smiling and casual Clinton and daughter Chelsea walking out of the belly of a cargo transplant to meet a receiving line and greet a young girl in line, Clinton claimed she had misspoken. It was “a misstatement.”
Dismissing the incident this week as a “blip,”’ Clinton has moved on.
But the folks at barelypolitical.com have not moved on. Instead, they have “unearthed” a videotape showing just how much fire the first lady actually encountered on landing — a firefight that culiminates with the first lady herself pulling out a semiautomatic pistol and shooting a terrorist hiding under a tank.
It’s riveting footage. It’s full of fire and smoke. It’s….
Well, it’s a joke.
