Republican U.S. Senate candidate Patrick Hughes says he has raised $380,000 in the five weeks since announcing his bid, with about two-thirds from his own pocket.
Hughes’ campaign says $250,000 came from Hughes, a Hinsdale real estate developer, and another $130,000 from supporters. He is taking on five-term U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk in the Feb. 2 Republican primary.
