The 2001 Hurricanes
Forget the BCS era. The 2001 Miami Hurricanes remain one of the best college football teams of any era. The Canes, 2002 Rose Bowl champions, outscored opponents by an average of 32.9 points. They capped the season with a 37-14 win over Nebraska. They were that much better than everyone else.
