One person was critically injured in a traffic accident that reportedly involved a vehicle rolling over on a bicyclist on the city’s Near West Side.
The accident happened at about 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Madison Street and Hoyne Avenue, said Chicago police, citing early reports.
While police had no information on the crash, witnesses said a motorist driving on Madison struck a center median and rolled over on a male bicyclist.
A police spokeswoman confirmed that one person was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical conditon, but could offer no other details.
