The Hamptons of Hinsdale, a new residential development in Hinsdale, will celebrate its grand opening Sept. 9.
Wheaton-based Next Generation Development will handle construction, sales and marketing for the community, which will consist of 26 town homes and 93 condominiums.
The Hamptons is on a 12.5-acre parcel near the intersection of 59th and Washington streets. Highlights include two parks anchored by custom-built wood and stone gazebos, a stone entrance monument and a pond. Ground-level and below-grade parking is provided at each building. Amenities include two elevators, a lobby with mail area, a greeting room and a community room with a bar and fireplace.
Next Generation resurrected the property after its original developer went out of business and left the site unfinished. The development is financially backed by Grosvenor Residential Partners and Inland Opportunity Hinsdale Hamptons.
Next Generation sales and marketing director Gail Payonk said, “We understand the Hinsdale market, and we’ve done our homework carefully to meet the local market’s expectations in 2011 and beyond. We’ve stepped in and updated the existing floor plans to maximize spatial efficiency and modernize the styles and finishes. And we’ve also lowered the previous developer’s prices by nearly 30 percent without sacrificing any quality.”
Base prices will start in the $290,000s for condos and in the $590,000s for town homes.
Nine condo floor plans are available, ranging from 1,262 to 2,239 square feet. Each unit features one or two bedrooms, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 baths, living room or great room, and balcony. Also included are a den, dining room and breakfast area, depending on the design.
Four town home designs, two of which are end units, offer three levels of finished living space. The plans include two to four bedrooms, 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 baths, a two-car garage, family room, living/dining room and balcony. Depending on the plan, a den, loft and breakfast area are standard. Sizes span 2,473 to 2,817 square feet.
Three town homes are available for immediate delivery. By February, three more town homes and several units in the first of four planned condo buildings are scheduled for delivery. A town home model and three condo models also are expected to open next spring.

Fox Run in Plainfield
Epcon Communities is offering 30-day delivery on six ranch models at the Villas at Fox Run in Plainfield.
Attached and detached ranch homes are priced from $179,990 to $252,158 and range from 1,137 to 1,992 square feet. Developer Jamie Wilcox said buyers who purchase the models soon may qualify for $10,000 worth of free upgrades.
Four attached homes are available: the 1,137-square-foot Arboreta (two bedrooms, two baths and 2 1/2-car garage) for $179,990; the 1,547-square-foot Colonnade (two bedrooms and den, two baths and 2 1/2 car garage) for $209,777; the 1,806-square-foot Ducal (two bedrooms and den, two baths and 2 1/2-car garage) for $245,692; and the 1,744-square-foot Abbey (two bedrooms, two baths, sunroom and two-car garage) for $199,990. Buyers can select flooring, cabinetry and countertops.
Wilcox noted that the attached units are in a unique arrangement that gives each home the feel of an end unit. Instead of being laid out four in a row, four units are arranged in a pinwheel format around a central point, thus a homeowner shares only one common wall with its neighbors.
Two stand-alone courtyard ranch homes also are available.
Priced at $237,123, the Portico is a 1,755-square-foot, two-bedroom, two-bath home with a den and 21/2-car garage. The home has a 455-square-foot, fenced-in private courtyard. It also includes a fireplace with gas logs, and tray ceilings in the living room, dining room and master bedroom suite. Homebuyers can select their own flooring, cabinets and countertops.
The 1,992-square-foot Promenade model, priced at $252,158, offers two bedrooms, two baths, den, dining room, living room, kitchen and a 485-square-foot, fenced-in private courtyard. It has a variety of upgrades, including hardwood flooring, staggered-height kitchen cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops.
Amenities at Fox Run include a 3,000-square-foot clubhouse and heated swimming pool.
Fox Run is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.
