The Google search engine lists an incorrect for the Park Ridge Police Department, sending calls to a person in the department instead of a 24-hour non-emergency line.
Despite police speaking with Google support staff several times since the problem began a few months ago, the phone number hasn’t been corrected, police said. It’s now become a public safety issue with police unsure what they should do next.
“We’re a little concerned,” said Cmdr. Lou Jogmen. “We’re not going to get that phone call until a delayed time.”
