A shooting early this morning in the Uptown neighborhood left one person hospitalized.

Someone shot the victim twice in the abdomen at 3:45 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Argyle Street, according to Hector Alfaro, a police spokesman.

The victim, a male of an unidentified age, was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, said Alfaro. His condition was not known.

No one was in custody.
