Tuesday is Christmas Day, a federal, state and local holiday. The following services will be affected:
Schools: Public schools in Chicago and the suburbs will be closed.
Government offices: Most federal, state, county and municipal offices will be closed.
Postal service: Only Express Mail will be delivered.
Chicago Public Library: All branches of the library, including the Harold Washington Library Center, will be closed.
Courts: All federal, state and county courts will be closed. Cook County Central Bond Court will be open.
Banks: All major banks will be closed.
Transit: CTA, Pace and Metra will run on Sunday schedules.
