A 28-year-old man was stabbed to death by his girlfriend in the Marquette Park neighborhood Wednesday night, police said.

He was killed by his 23-year-old girlfriend, who is not in custody, police said.

It’s not clear what the two were fighting about but the man was stabbed about 6:40 p.m. in the 6800 block of South Talman Avenue.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center and pronounced dead there about 7:45 p.m., a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.
