Legendary radio host Casey Kasem has been found alive and well in Washington state after reportedly being kidnapped by his wife.
On Wednesday, Kasem’s daughter Kerri filed a missing person’s report with the Santa Monica police, but authorities said they had found him within hours in the Pacific Northwest.
“We are grateful to the local authorities for finding my Dad. We are one step closer to bringing him home,” his daughter said in a statement.
Kasem, who is suffering from Lewy Body disease, has been at the center of a nasty conservatorship battle in recent months. The DJ’s adult children claimed his wife Jean Kasem was failing to properly care for him and keeping the Kasem kids from seeing their father.
Kasem is 82 years old.
