A truck carrying fireworks for an Independence Day celebration in central Texas exploded on Thursday morning at a high school, school officials said, with local media reporting one person had been killed.
Officials at Comanche High School in Comanche, which was to host a Fourth of July celebration, said several people were injured when a trailer carrying the fireworks exploded.
The weekly Comanche Chief newspaper said at least one person was killed in the incident that took place about 120 miles southwest of Dallas.
