The following items were collected from St. Charles police reports:
A 68-year-old St. Charles woman was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a stop sign and improper lane usage on Sept. 1 after she failed to stop at a stop sign at Timbers Trail and North 2nd Street and struck another car. She was also charged with leaving the scene of an accident after police found a mailbox she had hit on the floorboard of her car. The driver of the other car in the crash was treated at the scene for a minor injury to his arm.
A 49-year-old St. Charles man was charged with domestic battery on Sept. 1 after he used an electric cord from a radio to strike a person on the arm and thigh several times.
A 57-year-old Elburn man was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, unlawful use or weapons and failing to display the car’s registration on Aug. 26. When police searched his car, they found an unsecured pistol, a rifle and ammunition.
A 20-year-old Elgin woman was cited for retail theft for stealing various clothes from Kohl’s, 3840 E. Main St., on Sept. 2. She was with a juvenile, who was cited and released to her parents.
A 46-year-old West Chicago woman was cited for retail theft on Sept. 3 for stealing two shirts and a pair of pants from Kohl’s, 3810 E. Main St.
A 19-year-old St. Charles man was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a glass pipe in his van on Sept. 3. Police were looking through his van after a witness saw him and a juvenile walk into an open garage and look for beer in a garage refrigerator. The homeowners decided not to press charges.
A 42-year-old man from Cleves, Ohio, was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer and resisting a police officer on Sept. 4. Police responded to the Hilton Garden Inn, 4070 E. Main St., after the man kicked a table over at the hotel. He was returned to his room. Police returned after the hotel complained about the loud noises coming from his room. They took him to another hotel, where he asked what he had to do to stay at a jail. He then hit an officer in the stomach.
A 25-year-old St. Charles man was charged with speeding and driving under the influence of alcohol on Aug. 29 in the 300 block of Red Gate Road.
A 20-year-old Bartlett woman was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage after police saw her driving north in the southbound traffic lane in the 300 block of North 2nd Street on Aug. 24.
A 50-year-old St. Charles woman was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, driving an uninsured vehicle, and improper parking on Aug. 29 after police found her unconscious in the driver’s seat of a running vehicle parked in the 200 block of North Riverside Avenue. Police found prescription bottles not prescribed to her in the car.
A 20-year-old St. Charles man was charged with battery and illegal consumption of alcohol on Aug. 30 for hitting a 51-year-old Sugar Grove man who police had just issued a trespass citation to earlier in the night. The Sugar Grove man had been in the apartment of the St. Charles man’s mother though he had been banned from by management because of domestic violence issues.
A 24-year-old St. Charles woman was cited for damaging personal property after she spray painted the bumper of her boyfriend’s car on Aug. 31.
