Monday night’s opener of a four-game series between the Chicago Cubs and Cincinnati Reds at Wrigley Field is in a weather delay with thunderstorms moving through the area.

Earlier in the day, the Cubs moved up the start time from 6:40 p.m. to 6:10 based on the forecast of inclement weather.

Right-hander Edward Cabrera is scheduled to start for the Cubs against Reds right-hander Chase Petty.

The Cubs (22-12) lead the second-place Reds and St. Louis Cardinals (both 20-14) by two games in the National League Central.
