A chemistry teacher and Chicago Teachers Union leader who earns more the $200,000 a year, owns three homes, lead the CPS into their first strike in more than 20 years for a 30 percent salary increase and focuses only on Chicago Public Schools rather than what’s in the best interest of Chicago during interviews wants to be mayor. Really?

Karen Lewis thinks Mayor Rahm Emanuel is out of touch with “the people.” Really?

She lead a strike that would have given her salary an increase that is more than what many parents of her students earn annually!

Ald. Bob Fioretti (2nd) might add his bid too. He does not communicate with his ward and does not respond to email requests from his constituents. I live in his ward and have never had a response to an email or phone call.

How can we expect Fioretti to consider the needs of an entire city when he can’t manage a ward?

I can’t wait for the list to grow with more ineffective, inarticulate and out-of-touch mayoral candidates. Well, there was a harvest moon this week, so they may be coming out of the woodwork!
